This is my life...
I graduated from Sam Houston State University in May 2010 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Political Science. Truthfully I had really no real interest in studying either of those 2 subjects when I first went to college, but there is a story that goes along with that. My friend Kevin and I had just finished our freshman year of college when we decided that we needed to pick majors, I flipped through the school catalog and it landed on Criminal Justice, so I said what the heck. From the moment I took my first CJ class I was hooked :) Now I hope to get into the Global Securities program and The John Hopkins University and work for the government.
I worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for the past 2 years as a correctional officer. It was good experience but not something that I could see myself doing for the rest of my life. Now I've been accepted to the Peace Corps and will be in Burkina Faso, Africa for the next 2.5 years doing girls education and development!
